With todays developer blog entry, the TeamSpeak team not only announced that they're searching some new testers for TeamSpeak 3's closed ALPHA testing phase, but also published some brand new screenshots of the TeamSpeak 3 client software on all three platforms - namely Windows, Linux and Mac OS X. Many users have asked for this in the official TeamSpeak forums for a long time, and now the devs have managed to cleanup the interface and icons enough to be able to present something that doesn't look too bad.
The new screenshots reveal a few new TS3 features (e.g. the ability to use images in channel descriptions) and help you to get a clearer picture of the features that were already announced before.
Please keep in mind that the clients GUI is still work in progress and does NOT show the final product.
Hit the link below and check out the screenshots on TeamSpeak's developer blog page.

Happy Halloween everyone! We've some great news for the TeamSpeak community. Moments ago, the TeamSpeak development team announced that they're searching for a few testers to join the TS3 closed ALPHA test team. At this point the devs are looking for people using Mac OS X (10.3.9 or newer) or Linux (x86 or amd64) as their primary Operating System.
If you're a Windows user, please DO NOT apply for this ALPHA testing phase. TeamSpeak Systems has set up a strong list of requirements as they're searching for new qualified ALPHA testers - not just users. Read these requirements carefully. If you apply although you do not match the testing requirements, the developers might also ignore your applications for further tests.
Stay tuned to the official TeamSpeak website as a new developer blog entry is currently prepared which will contain some exciting new details about the upcoming TeamSpeak 3 client software.

It's been one and a half year since we informed all of you that a new version of the TS Admin-Client is in development. We've formed a team of 20 testers and the software has been in closed ALPHA stage for more than one year. As you might heave read in Thomas' blog, the development has beed paused several times for various reasons. Today, it's my duty to officially announce, that the development of the TS Admin-Client 2 (TSAC2) has been stopped permanently with build 1485.
Since the public release of TeamSpeak 3 is getting closer each day and most of our team members already have access to it, we want to concentrate our engineering resources on our TS3 related projects. Nevertheless we decided to take Thomas' latest TSAC2 ALPHA build and make it available to the public. An installer package can be found in our download area, but unless any major/critical bugs are found, this will be the first and last public release of the TS Admin-Client 2.
In comparsion with the first TSAC, the performance of the TS Admin-Client 2 has been increased dramatically. In addition, the software provides new features such as Multi-Tabbed server management, Multi-Select for clients and channels and server profiles.
Feel free to download and test the software, but please note that it might be unstable. It's not feature-complete and should not be used in a production envirionment. Use the TS Admin-Client 2 at your own risk.

On Friday, August 8th, the Planet TeamSpeak web server will be offline for approximately 3 hours starting at 15:00 PM CEST. This is needed for some critical updates and to set up a database failover scenario. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause, and will endeavor to keep this downtime as short as possible. This also affects the Connection Test and Backup Utility applications.
Just in case you're worried about not being able to access our files, all the downloads are hosted on download.planetteamspeak.com which is another physical server.
Thank you for your patience during our maintenance work.
Update - 09 August 2008
We've successfully completed our maintenance activities, the Planet TeamSpeak website is now back online. Please report any bugs or unusual behaviour in our forums or contact us via email.
