Another updated binary for the Windows client of TeamSpeak 2 has been released today. The developers have fixed various typos and a bug where the client software could crash when someone uses specific codes in a channels description. A final release - including a new installer - will follow soon. Please check our download area or the official TeamSpeak forums for a detailed list of changes. The TeamSpeak Team has released a new updated binary of the TeamSpeak 2 server for Windows and Linux today. This new release - version 2.0.23.5 - finally brings the long awaited bruteforce protection for the voice server itself, which means that all three interfaces of the TeamSpeak 2 server are now less vulnerable to such attacks. TeamSpeak's web administration interface and the TCP query interface have already been provided with this functionality in previous versions.
Furthermore, the developers have fixed a critical security issue, where administrators were able to execute commands on other virtual servers through the TCP query interface without permission. Due to security and liability reasons we recommend all administrators to update their TeamSpeak servers with the new binary.
The new release can be found in our download area or on the official TeamSpeak website. Related Links: Download TeamSpeak 2 Server 2.0.23.5 BETA for Windows Download TeamSpeak 2 Server 2.0.23.5 BETA for Linux Original thread on GoTeamSpeak.com |

Weve noticed by looking over our forums that some of you were using the Perl / CGI forum to discuss TS2PerlMod related topics. Therefore, we have just made some new support forums for users who are having problems with any aspect of our own applications, like the TS2PerlMod or the TS Admin-Client. All existing threads related to these subjects have been moved into the new forums. Administrators and Moderators will now be enforcing this, so please try to use the correct forum. Thanks. After a short period of BETA testing, we have released the final version of our TS2PerlMod. As already announced, the new release is delivered as an uncompiled Perl script under the GNU General Public License, so you can easily add new features or edit the ones that we've already included.
As a special gift, we've also released a seperate configuration utility, that allows you to edit your configuration files through a comfortable GUI. This application - called Configurator - is also released with the full source code under the GNU General Public License.
We'd like to thank all testers and bug reporters for their great and important work. We couldn't have done it without their help, or the help of the community. Please visit the our forums if you have any bugs to report or features to request.
We've updated the TS2PerlMod package with a fixed manual and startscript for Linux. Thanks to dms281 for reporting this bug.

Some of you might have expirenced some problems with high latency and packet loss on TeamSpeak's official public test servers during the last months - and not only during peak hours. The servers were practically unserviceable for people who wanted to test the TeamSpeak 2 software. Finally, these problems have been solved, since the servers were moved to a new ISP. German-based XG1 - TeamSpeak's new partner - proudly hosts the official, public test servers now. You can already join the servers by using the new IP address (62.146.116.194). The DNS server records for the domain voice.teamspeak.org has also been changed, but there will be a propagation period of 24-72 hours whilst the update spreads across. Please answer to the original thread on GoTeamSpeak.com, if you experience any problems. Related Links: Original thread on GoTeamSpeak.com Official XG1 website |

As a result of the recent problems with various german Non-Profit Organizations (NPOs), TeamSpeak's official sales & licensing provider - Triton CI & Associates - is no longer accepting new applications for the NPO license at this time. The NPO licensing plan allowed non-commercial TeamSpeak hosters to exceed the 1000 slot limit that has been adoped a few months ago.
Until now, nearly 70 communities and organisations have been provided with an NPO license.

I'm happy to announce that our internal version of the TS2PerlMod is now feature complete and requires one or two tweaks before it goes live. It will be released with the full source code under the GNU General Public License. We decided to do a complete rewrite of the original code to improve speed, performance and security. Our self-made Perl module TeamSpeak2::TCPquery is now fully object-oriented and contains sub-packages to handle player, channel and server objects easily.
Due to a tight deadline it's going to be a short Beta so we'd like to get people started as soon as possible. If you're interested in giving it a shot, please check the according thread in our forums.
